Ali Pasha of Herzegovina had Sinan The Architect built in 1561. It is rumored to have been built in order to gain revenues for the construction of a mosque in Kirklareli.Another purpose of it was to unite the tradesmen selling valuable goods under one roof and ensure the protection of these tradesmen.
